NEOCARIDINA BLACK CRYSTAL
-Common name: Black Glass, Bee Shrimp.
- Habitat: China - Japan.
- Differences between sexes: females reach a larger, have a dark brown bag behind ovarian shell (barely visible) and the belly is swollen than males.
- Social behavior: group, should be given as well come out more and feel less stressed. Keep in mind the tank mates, some fish they can eat.
- Maintenance conditions: PH: 6.5 - 7. GH: 4 -6. Very sensitive to the presence of nitrate.
- Temperature: 20 -25
- Long in the aquarium: 2.5 to 3.5 cm.
- Level of swimming: aquarium background.
- Reproduction: Relatively easy. It takes the minimal water conditions described above. Once mature eggs are pass into the lower abdomen genital exiting the orifice located between the third pair being fertilized periopods and reaching fifth pair. The eggs are orange appearance, which is transformed into gray when going to give birth. The eggs are incubated for about 20 days, giving a variable number of them (20 to 50).
- Food: It is omnivorous and scavenging. Background clean eating leftovers. We like algae, bottom fish food, rich in spirulina. Flakes and granules also agree.
