Distribution: Indian Ocean, Indo-Australian Archipelago, South China Sea and the Philippines.
Length: In nature, about 50 cm in the aquarium, 30cm.
Sexual dimorphism: No apparent.
Physicochemical parameters: Temperature 25-26 º C, density 1022; pH 8 to 8.1.
Food: It feeds on small fish, crustaceans and other foods, both living and inert.
Behavior: It easily adapts to life in captivity, especially if you have plenty of room to swim and shelter to hide in case of danger. This species is less aggressive than other groupers and can be reared in small groups, provided there is a large aquarium. |
